Full-Time VFX Artist

Job Description
The VFX Artist will be responsible for creating real time game FX, specializing in particle work and texture work. In addition, the artist will also be responsible for adhering to proper organization and hierarchies within their art to create unique and efficient real time effects. The artist should possess the ability to both model and texture and material evenly and be able to follow instructions as set forth by the Lead. As a VFX Artist you will build item content for game including Modeling, UV texturing animation, and particle work of items per technical specification. Working closely with the VFX Lead to make sure items work following the tech spec and art style.
Key responsibilities include:
Requirements:
- Work with VFX team lead to develop real-time effects
- Consistently strive to exceed the highest quality standards of the Studio.
- Create particle effects and high resolution effects under direction
- Work with game-play programmers to integrate effects into game
- Troubleshoots and take efficient solutions
- Polishes and optimizes effects as necessary
- Ability to learn in-house tools, provides feedback to improve the tools
- Detail oriented, organized and able to meet project requirements with Team spirit
Desired Skills:
- 1: Have VFX work experience in CG or game industry.
- 2: Have good skill for 3D experience, composting software, familiar with 2d and animation。
Photoshop, Maya/Max/XSI, and compositing software such as After Effects, Combustion, Fusion or Nuke required.
- 3: Ability to learn.
- 4: Have good communication skill.
- 5: Independently thinking and collaborate with VFX team lead or VFX Director to complete the assigned work

- Strong technical and communication skills
- 2 years+ games production experience
- Detail oriented, organized and able to meet project requirements
- Solid understanding of asset management practices
- Good aptitude for problem solving and self-starting with the ability to work with minimal direction
- Strong proficiency in 3D relative and 2D composite relative work
- Familiarity with animation principles
- Formal art training
- Creative, passion for visual effects domain with Team spirit
